Sloughis are strong-willed, so any protective instinct must be paired with firm, experienced training to stay controllable. A protective dog you cannot call off is a danger to visitors, delivery drivers, and you. Socialisation from puppyhood is what separates a stable, discerning dog from a reactive one, and formal protection training should only ever be done through a qualified professional.
